If this is your first time setting up an email on Thunderbird, proceed to step 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**NOTE: If you have an email ending in @iinet, @tstonramp, @pacifier, @nwlink, @proaxis use \u2018iinet\u2019 in the hostname when reaching step 6.

  1. Open up Thunderbird<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. In the top right corner select the menu button (three dashed lines) > “Account Settings<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. A new tab will appear. On the top left select “+ New Account” ><\/strong> Then select ” Mail Account\u2026<\/strong>“<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Insert the name you would like displayed when sending emails, full email address, and password. Then click on “Configure manually<\/strong>“.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Thunderbird will try to configure for you. The two available configurations are IMAP or POP3. Select one > then click \u201cConfigure Manually\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Select either the IMAP or POP protocol and follow the configuration settings below.
          \u2013 IMAP is good for keeping multiple devices in sync (recommended)
          \u2013 POP downloads emails to the one<\/strong> device and removes them from the server\n

          1. If IMAP<\/strong> was selected check to make sure the following matches:
            Incoming server:
            \u2013 Protocol: IMAP
            \u2013 Hostname: mail.iinet.com
            \u2013 Port: 993
            \u2013 Connection Security: SSL\/TLS
            \u2013 Authentication method: Normal password
            \u2013 Username: your full email address
            Outgoing server:
            \u2013 Hostname: smtp.iinet.com
            \u2013 Port: 587
            \u2013 Connection Security: STARTTLS
            \u2013 Authentication method: Normal password
